Try It Out Vietnamese Cafe, Otahuhu

If you are wondering where you can find authentic, cheap and cheerful Vietnamese food, Try It Out is the go-to place. A visit to my sister in Brisbane over Christmas makes me crave for good Vietnamese food. When I came back, I was on the mission to find one. Luckily for me, it doesn't involve 30 minutes drive to get to and this place is cheap too. Score!

The place may look a bit drab but don't let it put you off. It's a family run business and the service is friendly and prompt. Most mains on their menu are between $10-$15 and plenty of car park outside.

Grilled chicken on tomato rice $12. I really like the lemon grass-tinged chicken . It's available on white rice too.

Vietnamese spring rolls $5.50 for 2. Really like this as it was not greasy  and the sauce is really good.

Steamed Vietnamese Prawn Rolls $5.50 for 2.

Sorry, I don't remember the actual name for this but I think it's a combination on rice vermicelli

Pho with raw beef $11. I love their Pho. Definitely the best I've eaten in Auckland. The stock is so flavourful

Hi there, thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. It's fun to meet M'sians living abroad. Mmm...I missed NZ ! I was there more than 10 years back. I still have friends living in Wellington but most of them already shifted back. Anyway, you have a very lovely site. Looking forward to sharing.
Enjoy your day.

Hi Kristy,

Thanks for dropping by my blog and what a coincidence that you were living in NZ before. I love the recipes on your blog and will definitely be trying out some of your kuih recipes.
